I only met Darlene through the bowling program she would bring Tim too for the last several years.. Each week Tim would introduce her to the staff. She was a great person and you could tell that there was very special bond between them. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Darlene's passing.  We are third cousins...my great-grandmother, Katherine Schneider Gassmann Reuter, and her great-grandfather, Peter Schneider are siblings.  It is because of Darlene that I have the information I do about the Schneider part of the family. I am sorry we never met, but we e-mailed, facebooked and talked on the phone. My heartfelt sympathy to all of her family.  I know she will be missed.

I played softball with Darlene many years ago, so sorry to hear of her passing.  My thoughts and prayers to her family.

Aunt Jeanette, Eddie, Timmy, Larry, Kathy and the rest of the family.... I am so shocked at this sad news and please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could have made the journey to be with you today and tomorrow, but I cannot get there in time- I am still in California. Darlene touched so many people and we are all so grateful for her tasks of doing the family tree as well as everything else she would take on. On behalf of Darlene's comrades at the Country Club Hills Fire Dept., our sincere condolences at this most difficult hour.  Darlene could always be counted on to "take back up on a cold winter night, work the radio, and was dedicated in the highest traditions of the fire service."

You were the most loving and generous aunt anyone could ask for for their children.  You were also a great friend. Rest in God's embrace now knowing you made a difference in so many people's lives.  You will be missed.

Darlene's great grandmother, Barbara Schumacher Schneider, was our great grandfather, John Peter Schumacher's sister. This would made Darlene and her siblings, our 3rd cousins.

Darlene was the reason that our family trees were able to connect with each other. It was her hard work putting your family information on different genealogy websites that "We" cousins are now connected. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with Darlene's family during this difficult time.

We will all miss Darlene. She had a great spirit of generosity and care for everyone in her path.

I will miss our phone conversations and e-mails and her upbeat way with people, and perseverance in everything. She touched so many people in her all too short life.
