

Kevin Wade Wilson was born in Chicago, IL on November 12, 1960 to his parents Patricia Sims and Roosevelt Wilson. He was the oldest of five children. Our beloved brother Kevin Wade Wilson was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Kevin graduated from Senn High School in Chicago, IL. He joined the United States Army and served four years . After 1 year of service, Kevin was promoted to Staff Sergeant as he traveled extensively throughout the country. Kevin was honorably discharged in 1990 where he immediately pursued his Associates Degree in Accounting at Truman College, his Undergraduate Degree in Liberal Arts at Northeastern University, and his Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago. While pursuing his college education, Kevin was someone who valued hard work and being of service. He was employed with Home Depot in Evanston, IL as the bookkeeper/accountant for 19 consecutive years. He later joined Advocate Christ Medical Center, in Oak Lawn, IL as a Logistics Technician and shortly thereafter he joined Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL as a Supply Chain Technician II. He had a remarkable and fulfilling career.
While serving in the military, Kevin found the Lord. He joined a Pentecostal non-denominational church on the Army Base in 1987. Kevin enjoyed serving as a greeter and meeting people. In 2011 he joined the Family Harvest Christian Center in Tinley Park, IL under the leadership of Pastor Robb Thompson where he served on the Hospitality Guest Services auxiliary. In 2014 he became a member of the Friendly Temple Church of God in Christ, in Chicago, IL under the leadership of Pastor Edwin M. Walker. He served on the outreach ministries auxiliary board, and he really enjoyed community ministry.
Kevin loved all genres of music, and for fun he loved to travel all over the world. He was also passionate about photography. Kevin loved to eat! His favorite dish among many was pizza. In fact, he met the love of his life, Misha Maxey, at Aurelio’s Pizza. On June 14, 2014, Kevin and Misha joined in holy matrimony.
Kevin W. Wilson departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory: beloved wife Misha Wilson; children, Julian, Telia, and Timothy; two grandchildren, Jordan and Josiah; siblings, Lance and Francina; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kevin W. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Wilson and Patricia Sims, and his brothers Aaron and Cecil Wilson.
