Sharron Ann Ellis

Sharon accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Harlan high school and graduated in 1968. Sharon served in the US Military from 1968 to 1973. She graduated from Northeastern University with a B.A in education.

Sharon was an exceptional educator and worked for Chicago Public School for over 20 years.

Sharon grew in the Lord and nurtured her spiritual gift. God blessed Sharon with the ministry of song. She sang with family and Memorial Baptist Church. Sharon played the piano and wrote songs. She was a minister of music at a variety of churches throughout Chicago.

Sharon attended Crusaders Ministry, Pastor John Eckhart and Darryl O’Neal. Later, she joined Pastor Bill Brown’s ministry, Christ Unity Evangelistic Church.

Sharon was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Jeremiah Townsend, Annie Mae Boughton; brothers, Joseph “Joe” Boughton and Jeremiah “Jerry” Townsend, Jr.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Tjelana Scott (Eric) and grandson, Jontavion; Stepfather, Julius; Uncle Manassa “Bill”; two brothers, Julius Jr. and Eric; five sisters Janessa “Tiny”, Vanessa “Red”, Alicia “Lisa”, Diana and Yvonne;”, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
