William James Powell

William J. Powell age 67 of Palos Park, born and raised in Evergreen Park, husband of Enid ( nee Van Cleave) died Dec. 13, 2010 peacefully at his home with his loving family at his bed side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving father of Sue (Marty) Dolan, Lynn (Nathan) McKinley, Karen (Jim) Butler, Peggy (Matt) Burke, proud Papa to Billy, Ashley, Megan, Jack, Joe Joe, Mallory, Abby, Luke, Kayley, Heidi, Karalyn, and Logan. Dear brother of Dr. Thomas (Diana) Powell, Carol (Bob) Ellsworth, John (Linda) Powell. A special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving parents Thomas V. and Dorothy and his sister-in-laws Carole McDole Powell and Rosemary Ryan Powell. Bill had many accomplishments in his life. In 1965 he started his own frozen food distributorship, Powell and Company. Bill was a friend of Bill W. for 31 years and helped and assisted with many of their friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.
