

Alpha Mae Cox, age 78, she was born the daughter of Elzie & Mary Alice (Webb) Kiser on May 14, 1934 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at 9:05 AM (After she had her favorite meal of the day, breakfast). She is preceded in death by her Husband: Milton Dwayne Cox (1930-2010); Father: Elzie Kiser (1901-1987), Mother: Mary Alice Webb Kiser (1904-1952). ; Grandfather: James Kiser (1866-1953); Stepmother: Goldie Tolliver Kiser (1924-2001); Brother: Leslie Kiser (1926-2004); Sister: Doris Ann Kiser Gibson (1940-2012). She is survived by; Son, Jerry D. (and Jacqueline) Adkins, Tampa, Florida; Son, Dr. Douglas R. Adkins, St. Louis, Missouri; Patricia Courtheyn, St Louis, Missouri; Sister, Ruby Bell, Fairborn, Ohio; Sister, Marie Sturgill, Virginia; Sister, Nannie Kiser, Virginia; Sister, Judy Miles, Kentucky; Sister, Anna Huffington, Indiana; Grandchildren, Jennifer K. Adkins, St. Louis, Missouri; Grant Adkins, Nashville, Tennessee; Lindsay N. Adkins, Tampa, Florida.; Walt and Art and all others who worked with her at Rouches Restaurant, Fairborn, Ohio; Best Friend, Nancy Hall; Step-children, Douglas Cox, Virginia, Milton Dwayne Cox, Virginia, Perry Cox, Virginia, Heather and Hunter Cox, Texas; and Terry (and Scott) Hannebaum of Ohio and many, many other loved nieces and nephews; first husband Charles B. (and Alice) Adkins, Fairborn, Ohio. Alpha loved her dogs (both Maltese) named Prince and Tiger. Prince has long since gone to heaven. Tiger is now being taken care of by her son Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. Alpha also loved cooking and was known for her fudge (chocolate, peanut butter, and buckeye), and banana pudding. Her favorite meal was breakfast; she ate little if any meat but loved crispy bacon. She loved her home on Kapok Drive in Fairborn, Ohio which she lived in for over thirty years with Milton Cox, her husband, and raised her sons Jerry Adkins and Douglas Adkins. She was so very proud of her two sons, and her grandchildren. She loved to take long drives with her husband and with her sister Ruby, and on those drives she made sure to pick up some strawberry ice cream, frequently from Young's Dairy. She always loved strawberries.
