Joyce Elizabeth Ison

Joyce Elizabeth Ison age 82 of Fairborn passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Soin Medical Center. She was born the daughter of Howard & Jozella (Elam) Fassold on May 19, 1931 in Weisburg, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, son James Ricky Ison, grandson Scott David Keeton, and 2 brothers William and James Fassold. She is survived by 3 sisters, Bonnie (Garner) Back of Fairborn, Hazel Honnert of Batesville, Indiana, and Dolores Fuchs of Sunman, Indiana, 2 brothers, Roger (Glenna) Fassold of Sunman, Indiana and Doug (Nancy) Fassold of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Joyce is also survived by 9 children: 6 daughters, Sandy Whitt of Fairborn, Pam (Roy) Keeton of Madison, Indiana, Jackie Newsome of Fairborn, Elaine Davis of Fairborn, Patty (Andy) Johnson of Fairborn, and Jolene (Earl) Adkins of Fairborn, and 3 sons, Steve (Pam) Ison, Randy (Debbie) Ison and Jerry Ison all of Fairborn, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce has been a resident at the Wright Nursing Center for many years and loved playing bingo and running the store. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and many other family and friends. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 11:00AM to Noon at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio where services will follow at Noon with Pastor Orbie Estep officiating. Interment will be at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
