

Kevin Gerard Mascarella, 61, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away July 6, 2021, at Hospice of Dayton after a hard fight against cancer. Two of his nieces, Tiffany and Sarah, were by his side holding his hand when he peacefully passed away. Kevin lived in Fairborn most of his life after being born to Patricia A (McDaniel) Mascarella and Lieutenant Colonel Thomas J Mascarella in Tampa, Florida on April 6, 1960. Kevin is a 1978 graduate of Park Hills High School in Fairborn. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wright State in Management Information Systems.
Kevin worked at Bob Evans restaurant for 33 years. He was a collector of art, mainly the American Bald Eagle. He loved reading Sci-Fi, he was rarely seen without a book or his Nook in hand.
Kevin is preceded in death by this mother, Patricia. He was survived by his father, Thomas, brothers Steven (Cindy) Mascarella, Richard (Shelley) Mascarella, nieces Tiffany (Jimmie) Zimmerman, Sarah (Matthew) Weaver, Samantha Mascarella, and nephew Thomas Mascarella. His real pride and joy were his great nephew Kaden Gillespie and nieces Ellery Gillespie, Isabelle (Fred) Weaver and Mia Zimmerman. He leaves behind family in Louisiana, Texas and around Ohio that will miss him.

Visitation will take place from 3pm-5pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home 119 E. Main St. in Fairborn. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fairborn. Kevin's final resting place will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
