

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony “Mikki” Luttrell, a person of boundless energy and intelligence. Michael was born on February 9th, 1962, and transitioned out of this life on April 15th, 2026. Through his journey of 64 years, he touched many lives with his kindness, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance. With Michael’s departure, we are left with a void that can never be filled.
Michael graduated from Fairborn Baker High School in 1980. He also received a machine shop certification from Greene Joint Vocational School. He enlisted in the United States Army in– and spent time in Germany during his service. Michael was known to be a lifelong learner who enjoyed working with his hands and mind throughout his whole life. At the time of his passing, he proudly worked in the ICU unit of the Tucson VA Medical Center, where his coworkers described him as the life of the party, even on particularly difficult days.
Michael was predeceased by his son, Tony Luttrell and his father Eddie E. Luttrell. He is survived by his two daughters: Anita Marie Morgan and Shelby Michael Luttrell-Scheide. His mother: Maria Q. Luttrell. Sisters: Teresa Luttrell, Maria Luttrell, and Anita Burns. Brothers: David Luttrell, Eddie Luttrell, and Timothy Luttrell, as well as five grandchildren.
Michael was the type of person who never met a stranger in his life. He will be missed dearly and will be remembered for being full of life and humor, and his willingness to lend a hand if he was around to help.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fisher House Foundation at http://www.fisherhouse.org/about – an organization that was of tremendous help during the time of Michael’s passing.
