Richard Dillon

Richard J. Dillon, age 86, of Enon, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 67 years, Frances Mary (Yorio), whom he married in 1954. Richard is also survived by his son; Stephen Dillon, his daughters; Patty Peek, Sharon Barrett, Gina Peters and Laurie Lauricia; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Richard was born June 5, 1935 in Corning, New York to the late Emily and Orvis Dillon, the youngest of their 7 children. Richard graduated from Corning Free Academy High School in 1953 and joined the Air Force, where he led a distinguished career, including serving a year in Vietnam. He and his family settled in Enon, Ohio, soon after retiring from the military, followed by 18 years of Civil Service. Richard spent the last 30 plus years enjoying retirement with his wife, children and grandchildren. Golf and traveling were some of his favorite pastimes.

Bon voyage, Richard. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, grandfather or leader of our family.

A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.

Richard will be laid to rest in Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Road, Fairborn, Ohio.
