Talmadge J. Smith age 79 died on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Dayton V. A. Medical Center. He was born the son of LaVern & Nora (Knot) Smith on February 9, 1934 in Newman, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hellen, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his son, T.J. and grandson Matthew both of Ohio, also sons Joey, Ricky, and Tony all of Georgia, daughter Teddy of Georgia, several grandchildren and great grandchildren in Georgia, sister Rosie Soles, and brother William Smith. Talmadge served and retired from the United States Air after 23 faithful years. He will be missed by all who love him. Friends may call at the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio 45324 on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 5PM to 7PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 9:30AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Majors officiating.
