Gerald “Jerry” Ray Callahan, 77, entered into rest on Thursday January 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his Parents, John and Naomi (Geralds) Callahan and his Grandparents, Nick and Irene Geralds; He was member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Jerry was a retired special education teacher. He played in several sports and excelled especially in Football and he was drafted into the Army from college. He is survived by his Son, Kevin Callahan (Michelle); Sister, Linda Allen (Mike); Grandchildren, Joey, Corey (Lexi), and Kyle; Great Grandchildren, Cayson and Kolbi; Nephews, John Allen (Dana), and Jimmy Allen (Vanessa); Great Nephew's, Michael Allen, and Shane Allen Chandler Allen (Kelley); Great Great Niece, Daisy Allen; and Host of Cousins and Friends and he will be greatly missed. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 27, 2025 at 10am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 903 Fairdale Road with Burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Sunday January 26, 2025 from 3-8pm at the Fairdale – McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road. Please be mindful of any Perfume and Cologne, at the family request.
