Peggy was my Godmother and always set a wonderful example for me throughout her life. When I was young, my sisters and I would spend the summer with Aunt Frank. We were always excited about going places and doing things that we weren't able to do coming from a large family. One night we all climbed into Peggy's Volkswagen and went to the drive-in...the movie...Herbie the Love Bug! We laughed until we cried! Many years later, when I too became a young widow, Peggy was a source of strength and encouragement. Unfortunately, this past summer, I spent my last summer with Peggy. What a blessing for me! I know that she will continue to guide and support me from heaven. Until we meet again...love you!

Peggy was beautiful lady who always had a smile.  When me and my siblings would make our annual summer visit to Aunt Frank's, I always was in awe of the dolls Peggy would have on her bed.  She was a saint to have been able to drive a school bus for all those years without pulling out her hair.  She just had that caring and loving personality.  May she be at peace in heaven with Marvin, Aunt Frank, Uncle Will, Brother Bob, Mom and Dad.

Peggy was such a joyous and generous person.  I enjoyed the times the Dupont girls would spend our week in the summer with Aunt Frank, Peggy, Karen, John and Uncle Will.  My fondest memory was going to the Kenwood drive-in in Peggy's beige VW bug.  She was a grand lady!

Aunt Peggy was always such a kind hearted and loving lady. She would always ask about your well being and growing up I remember so many memories of just laughing with her. Christmas especially will never be the same, I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. I always loved going out to the farm and visiting her and uncle John. Karen and John I am so sorry for your loss. She will always be in my heart  I'm just glad she is at peace now and there's no more suffering.

Peggy, you were always sweet and loving to me. We shared many fun times on your farm and I have fond memories of playing there as a kid. I'm glad that you and Alison got to meet each other, and then Bradley after his arrival. She says hi/farewell with me as I write this. We will always love you. I hope you have many dogs on a big farm in your afterlife.

We will always remember Peggy as a kind and loving lady with a beautiful smile on her face!! She was always uplifting and was interested in whatever was going on in your life.  We didn't get to see her very often because of living out of town but when we did see her she always made a point at seeking us out to see how we were doing!!!  Karen and John, we are so very sorry for your loss but praising God that she is no longer suffering!!  God Bless each of you!!!

Marvin and Peggy are a wonderful couple. We know that Marvin thought the world of Peggy.  I met Peggy at a family fish fry when Karen was just five months old. I found Peggy to be shy but a very friendly young mother.  We had many enjoyable gatherings at family celebrations over the years.  We will always remember the times we had at Peggy's at Christmas time.  We had a delicious meal and then celebrated Christmas afterwards with visits from Santa.  Peggy was such a sweet and caring person.  We will truly miss seeing her and getting to visit with her.  She was a great sister-in-law and will be missed by all family and friends.

Marvin and Peggy were a wonderful couple.  We know that Marvin thought the world of Peggy.  Dan is Marvin's brother and I am Dan's wife.  I met Peggy and Karen at a family cookout when Karen was just five months old.  I found Peggy to be a shy but friendly young mother. We had a delicious sit down meal and celebrated Christmas afterwards,  we will truly miss seeing her and getting to visit. Peggy was such a kind and caring person.  We will miss her on those special days.  Peggy was a great siste-in-law and will be missed by all family and friends.

I will miss my sweet, gentle natured Aunt Peggy. She was always an uplifting person, with many smiles to share. I am grateful for the happy memories I have and the holiday celebrations that we spent together. You are loved and will be missed!

Peggy, We miss you already but know that you are in your home in heaven with Jesus, no longer suffering. We will always remember you as a sweet, kind, caring person. FRIENDSHIP, ROMANCE, LOVE, MARRIAGE AND A BABY

Back in 1968, I first met Peggy Dodge in the cafeteria of the Medical Arts Building where we both worked.  Peggy was a dental assistant in a dental office and I was an executive for a medical organization.  We often sat together during lunch, and discussed our social lives and other interests.  We were both single at the time; however, I was dating a dental student from Indiana University, Tom Myers who is now my husband of 47 years.

After many lunches I asked Peggy if she might be interested in double dating my brother, Marvin, along with Tom and myself.  Peggy agreed, and we set up an evening of introduction, movie theatre and dinner.  An interesting experience occurred in trying to find Peggy's home.   Marvin decided that he would do a dry run to try to locate her home before picking her up for the date.  In 1969 we had no cell phones or GPS, which resulted in a 2 hour search to locate her home.  In the meantime, he had to stop at a pay phone and call me at my home to see if I did indeed provided the correct address.  Finally, he found her home which occupied the entire evening.  Over the years, we all have had a good laugh over this.

Date night went very well, and finding the house was no trouble at all the second time around.  Soon after their first meeting they began to see each other more often and soon became engaged in August 1969, and we were so pleased for both of them.  We all loved Peggy and were happy to welcome her into our family and felt that he could not have made a more lovely addition to the family.   A Valentine wedding on February 14, 1970 was set and they were married in St. Jerome's Church (Now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta) on an extremely snowy day which was beautiful and picturesque.  Peggy Dodge was now Peggy Magruder.

In May 1970, tragedy struck our family early one morning when Marvin died suddenly from a myocardial infarction and left Peggy a young widow.  This was heartbreaking for all of us since they had made so many plans during their short three month marriage.  Peggy found out at Marvin's funeral that she was pregnant, and in January 1971 Peggy gave birth to a precious baby girl and named her Karen Marie.

Peggy shared a wonderful life with her only child Karen, and together they bonded throughout Peggy's life.

I was guided to introduce them which resulted in an engagement and marriage.  Over the years we enjoyed watching Peggy's daughter Karen Magruder, now Wolz grow into a lovely young lady.  As I looked around the church during the funeral to see so many individuals in attendance, I was amazed by the number of people who touched her life.  

I cannot help but believe that after a short married life, Marvin will be waiting for Peggy in heaven.

Mom, it was a week ago today that we watched you lowered into your final resting place.  I miss you terribly, but we grieve because we loved.  It is such a blessing to me that you are at peace and you'll always be with me.

Karen John and families, so sorry to hear about Peggy. Have many happy memories of her from our much younger days at first communions and weddings.  We will keep you in our prayers
