Sherry, affectionately known as “Susie,” was born to Robert and Emma Hutchinson. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was deeply rooted in her love for family and her faith. Susie will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the deep bonds she shared with those she loved most.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa “Missy” Hopper (Stephen); her granddaughter, Paige “Muffin”; her great-granddaughter, Avarie “Lady Bug”; and her brother, Virgil "Duke" Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela, and the love of her life, Roger Pridham.
Susie’s legacy of love and faith will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
There's a line from a MercyMe song "In You" that holds special meaning to her family and reflects the joy she now knows:
"The lame will dance, they'll dance for they are able."
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 6, 2025 at 12noon at the Fairdale – McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road with burial will be at a later date in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 5, 2025 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
