EN EL CUIDADO DE
Demaine Funeral Home – Fairfax
Col. Francis K. LeClercq USAF Ret, 83, of Alexandria, VA. died on December 5th, 2017. “Frenchy”, son of Maurice and Mary, loving husband to Carla “Sue” LeClercq, passed quietly in the evening of the 5th of December. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sue. He is survived by his 4 children; Lacee, Kent, Francee (Watson), and Matthew Sr., as well as 5 grandchildren. The first of the 4 LeClercq boys to pass, he is survived by his 3 brothers; William of Waco, TX, Duane and Robert both of Spring Valley, Ill. A career Air Force officer he demonstrated a stubborn refusal to do anything but succeed in life. He was a man of few words who truly believed and lived the adage “actions speak louder than words”. In life he never stopped learning and continued doing new things throughout his life including car repair, real estate, ceramics, welding, and many other hobbies. After suffering a catastrophic stroke in 2011 he was paralyzed and left without speech but could still genuinely engage in family visits and entertained his sweet tooth. He is truly free now. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Wake will be held from 2-5 on Sunday December 10th at the Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax VA. 10565 MAIN ST, FAIRFAX, VA 22030. Services will be held at St. Veronica Catholic Church on Monday December 11th at 10 am. 3460 Centreville Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151.
