He was born April 29, 1954. Jim grew up in the Falls Church/Chantilly, VA area. He spent many a day on the baseball and softball fields. He enjoyed 25 years accident free as a heavy equipment operator for Fairfax County. He then spent another 9 1/2 years with the county as an engineering technician II.
Jim has three adult children and six grandchildren from a previous marriage. He is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law as wekk as one niece & nephew.
In 1995 Jim met the love of his life, his best friend, and partner, Valerie Case. Jim then became a father to her young children. They quickly became his three girls. They would give him 11 grandchildren. Jim loved being a parent and then a grandparent. He was always there to help and nurture each one of them and help others as well as to love God.
Jim loved riding Harley Davidsons with his wife Val and his friends. He spent his retirement riding, mowing yards, working with his wife Val, and talking with friends and neighbors. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife Valerie and grandkids. On any given day one of his grandkids would be on his lap on his mower or in the kitchen cooking up something delicious to eat.
Jim is a giant in our eyes and will be truly missed.
