Mildred Spain Forman Arnold

Mildred Spain Forman Arnold, 88, of Fairfax, VA, passed away Tues, August 19 at home in the gracious care of Hospice and in the company of loved ones. She is survived by her youngest son Glenn Forman of Aransas Pass, TX, granddaughter Samantha, and former daughter-in-law Linda; daughter Gail Forman-Carlton of Oxnard, CA, granddaughter Jamie and grandson, Sean and fiancé Paolo; and eldest son Lloyd Forman of Manassas VA, daughter-in-law Michele, grandsons Jacob and Austin. Millie joins her sisters Dotty and Marie and awaits her elder sister Ruby, and brother Tommy to reunite with their Mother, Eula G Talton and Father, Samuel C Spain. She survived her former husbands, James R Forman and John S Arnold. Mildred enjoyed the companionship and common interests shared by friends in the UDC, DAR, VA Home Economics Assoc., Antique Society, Bead Society, Art Deco Architectural Society, Church family, neighbors, and fellow world travelers. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Sat, Sept 6th at Friendship United Methodist Church, on Gallows Rd. followed by a reception. A “celebration of her life” party will be held after the funeral at the home of Lloyd and Michele Forman. The committal service will take place in the fall at Arlington Cemetery.
