Minetree "Buck" Shelton

Minetree “Buck” Shelton passed peacefully on Friday July 17, 2015 at the age of 92. He is surved by his wife of 60 years Nancy, his two children Linda Catir and William Shelton, one sister Ruth Spain, four grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. He was a private first class in the United States Army and a WWII survivor. He fought bravely in the Battle of the Bulge as a member of the 99th infantry. Following graduation from Virginia Tech in 1954, Buck went on to work for the Fairfax County Envoronmental Health Department and live in Fairfax City for over 60 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21st 6-8 pm at Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 22nd 2pm at Fairfax United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in Fairfax City Cemetery
