Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague, Regina Rochelle Randolph, was born on August 3, 1980 in Richmond, Virginia, and raised in Amelia, Virginia. She spent her adult years in Maryland and Northern Virginia. She loved God, her parents, her four siblings, her friends, and life itself.
Regina graduated from Amelia County High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a brilliant artist, an intriguing storyteller and enjoyed Disney and Pixar animations. For over a decade, she worked as a graphic designer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland. Her colleagues described her work as a force of nature in revitalizing the graphic design program and communication capabilities for the medical center. Her creations and collaborations with her long time dear work friend, Miguel Cajigal, are prominently displayed throughout WRNMMC.
Regina maintained a firm belief and trust in God. True to her calling, she lent her artistic talents to religious groups that promote the gospel of the soon-coming Kingdom of God. She took a selfless, respectful approach when sharing her faith with others. Many will remember having hours of philosophical and religious discussions with her. She gave honor and praise to God in everything -- even in the ordinary aspects of her life.
And, Regina loved adventure, travel, and fun. She visited Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, St. Lucia, the United Kingdom and numerous places in the United States. She made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed hosting family and friends, cooking elaborate meals for them. Although Regina was not known as a party animal (she liked to go to bed early), her friends and siblings will remember the great time they had at parties she planned.
If you walked into a crowded room you knew Regina’s presence by her unique, infectious laugh.
Regina took her final earthly rest on November 17, 2021 after a brave battle with cancer. She now awaits her crown fit for a queen at the resurrection. Regina is survived by her parents Robert and Barbara Randolph of Virginia, her sister Robin Randolph of Kansas, her brothers Robert (and Jordana) of Michigan, Roderick of Virginia, and Rhyan (and Amber) of Texas, her nephew Zackary, her niece Elyse, and numerous other relatives.
We miss her.
