Robert “Bob” Oakland Ressman passed away on February 23, 2026 from complications related to dementia. He was born in Tonawanda, New York to Charles and Dorothy Ressman. He went on to travel the world as part of his military and government service. He served in both the Air Force and Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After he left the military he joined the Central Intelligence Agency and retired after 30 years of service.
He went on to work at Lockheed Martin and its spin off – The SI organization. After a few years with those companies he retired to enjoy fishing, television, and movies. He passed away peacefully in his own home at 78 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Bernardine, his daughter, Katherine, and his brothers, James, Dennis, Gerald, and Scott.
He will be interred in a private ceremony at Duck Run Natural Cemetery with military honors. A Celebration of Life Open House will be planned in March. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Doctors without Borders or Partners in Health.
