William David Kogler passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A gentle and kind-hearted person, Bill will be remembered for his sharp intellect, steady character, and the quiet compassion he showed to everyone who knew him. He will also be fondly remembered for his humor — a wit that brought lightness to difficult moments and laughter to family gatherings.
Bill was a proud graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, demonstrating both dedication and academic excellence. After completing his studies, he successfully passed the bar examinations in both Virginia and California, one of his family’s proudest professional moments.
Above all, Bill valued family. He is survived by his loving mother, Olivia Kogler; his father, Captain Robert A. Kogler USN(Ret); his brother, Robert A. Kogler Jr.; his sister-in-law, Bernadette Kogler; and his three cherished nieces, Annie, Maddy, and Claire Kogler. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose gentle spirit, warmth, and steady presence brought comfort and strength to those around him.
William’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the example he set through kindness, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
