

Born in Fairhaven, the son of the late John and Justina (Gonsalves) Roderiques, Mr. Roderiques lived in Fairhaven his entire life.
Before his retirement, Mr. Roderiques was self-employed as a contractor and masonry and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Fairhaven Planning Board for several years and was a Fairhaven Town Meeting Member.
Albert was an avid gardener who took joy and pride in maintaining his garden and yard. He was known by his family and others for his blueberry and apple pies and enjoyed baking them as well as eating them. Albert loved to dig for quahogs and did so much of his adult life up until he was 90 years old. He enjoyed fishing, especially during his New Orleans trips. He loved watching sports, particularly golf and football, playing cards and going to the horse and dog tracks.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Smith and her husband Bud of Mena, AR, John Roderiques of Fairhaven, Sharon St. Amand and her husband Peter of Taunton. He is predeceased by his son Albert Roderiques Jr.; Mr. Roderiques has three grandchildren, Allison Roderiques, Samantha Roderiques and Michael Roderiques, and many nieces and nephews.
Albert was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony, Joseph, John, Edward and his sister Mary Roderiques.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 9:00am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St. Fairhaven, MA, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 274 Main St., Fairhaven. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT FAIRLAWN. Burial in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
