Arlene P. Gonsalves

Born in Stonington, CT, a daughter of the late William D. and Adelaide C. (Garcia) Perry, she had lived in Fairhaven since 1949. She was a 1949 graduate of New Bedford High School and attended Fisher College.

Mrs. Gonsalves, along with her husband, owned and operated the former Roselawn Farms until 1972. She later worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer for 11 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Barbara J. Lamy and her husband Roger of Mattapoisett, her daughter-in-law Donna Gonsalves of Dartmouth, 1 brother, Dennis Perry of CA, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer DeMailly, Jill and Jesse Gonsalves, Christopher and Janet Lamy and Karen DeSousa and 4 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late William D. Gonsalves and sister of the late Theresa McDermott.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Visitation 9:30am to 11:00am prior to the service.
