Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Clarence Silva and Anna (Rose) Silva, she resided in Fairhaven most of her life.
Barbara was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked as an assistant cook for the New Bedford School System’s Cafeteria at Keith Middle School.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her 2 sons, Bryan Lawrence and his wife Edite of New Bedford; Albert Lawrence of Washington; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Clarence Silva, Jr., and Joanne Rapoza.
Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:30am at the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn Mortuary, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven. Visiting hours will be held from 10am -11:30am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
