Buddy was born and raised in Fairhaven, a son of the late Edwin L. and Annie (MacKenzie) Rogers, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He graduated from Fairhaven High School and entered the United States Army in 1941. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in China, Burma and India before being discharged in 1945.
Buddy was employed for over 30 years as a Treasurer with Lambeth Rope Corp in New Bedford retiring in 1977. He loved traveling and bicycling, and enjoyed time at the beach, especially West Island.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters: Connie S. Younger and her husband Wayne J. of Acushnet, and Janice D. and Donna J. Rogers both of Fairhaven. He was also the Grandfather of Sarah J. and Adam W. Younger and brother of the late Ann Tichon and Helen Wilbur.
Private arrangements are under the care of the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven.
