Eva A. Rousseau

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Lapierre) Lague, she was a life-long resident of the area.

Mrs. Rousseau was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Fairhaven and was a member of La Dame Patroness.

She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Teixeira and her husband David of Fairhaven and Susan Gomez and her husband Tony of Clinton, CT; three sons, John J. Rousseau and his wife Beverly of Fairhaven, Robert P. Rousseau also of Fairhaven and Daniel R. Rousseau and his wife Sharon of Westport; one sister Marie Blanche Holmstrom of New Bedford; brother-in-law Rev. Julian M. Rousseau of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Amy Kapogiannis, Adam Rousseau, Jeffrey Rousseau and Alexander Teixeira; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her caregiver, Jill Mansfield. She was also the grandmother of the late David J. Rousseau.

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 9 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, followed by her funeral mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, 74 Spring St., Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours, TODAY, Thursday 4-7 PM. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
