Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Anatole and Irene (Monast) Tetrault, she had resided in Fairhaven for most of her life.
Mrs. Jacobsen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, playing Bingo and spending time with her loving family.
Her family includes four sons, Donald Jacobsen and his wife Elizabeth of Dartmouth, Dennis Jacobsen and his wife Lauren of Fairhaven, Gary Jacobsen and his wife Claudia of Fairhaven and Rick Jacobsen and his wife Martha of San Francisco; her daughter, Darlene Sanders of New Bedford; 13 grandchildren, Rob, Justine, Stacey, Derek, Lisa, Garrett, Conor, Christopher, Eric, Ashley, Sarah, Kristina and Matthew; 11 great-grandchildren, Cole, Tyler, Paige, Bailee, Jake, Maylin, Luke, Justin, Cameron, Emily and Ari; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth H. Jacobsen, Jr. and sister of the late Bob and Gene Tetrault.
