Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Albert and Susan (Morris) Pollard, she lived in Ft. Myers since 2001, moving to Dartmouth this year to be near family. Joan was a graduate of New Bedford High School, and enjoyed golfing, cooking and singing.
She leaves a son, Stephen Shurtleff of Fairhaven, MA, and two daughters, Kathleen A. Morin of Ft. Myers, FL and Susan E. Shurtleff of Cranston, RI; three grandsons, Michael, Randy and Steve; a stepdaughter, Lauren and a step granddaughter, Shea.
