She was born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Mello and was employed as a Waitress at the Nest Diner in Mattapoisett for several years as well as a Real Estate Agent.
Mrs. Travers is survived by her two sons Walter Medeiros of Fairhaven and Michael Medeiros of New Bedford; a Brother Bruce Mello of Indiana, five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
