

Pearl J. (Lupo) Corbett, 97, of Fairhaven, MA, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital on February 2, 2026. She was the dedicated only child of her late parents, Onorato and Alice (Sylvia) Lupo.
Born June 30, 1928, in Dartmouth, MA, Pearl was raised in New Bedford and lived in Fairhaven most of her life. She was Vice President and Valedictorian of New Bedford Vocational High School Class of 1946. She graduated from the Kinyon Business School, where she met the love of her life, Robert A. Corbett. They were married in 1949 for 58 years until his death in 2008. Together they successfully ran Corbett Aluminum Products until retiring in 1986. Pearl also worked for Hirst Plumbing Company after graduating from Kinyon and the Paul Revere Insurance Company.
She enjoyed spending time at her parents’ cottage on Wilbur Point, Fairhaven, in her early years. Her parents affectionately named it The Pearl after their daughter. She was a former member of the altar guild at Grace Episcopal Church in New Bedford. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking fabulous meals, and attending many birthday and holiday gatherings with her family.
Pearl leaves behind her children, Susan Corbett, Nancy Lavalette (Gary) all of Fairhaven, and Triplets, James Corbett (Andrea) of Sebago, ME, Jane Corbett (Clayton Covey, deceased) of Ruskin, FL, and June Sloper (Edward) of Leesburg, VA, her 7 grandchildren, Robert Lavalette (Cassandra) of Fall River, Kristy Horseman (Derek) of Fairhaven, Dr. Ian Corbett, Kellan Corbett (Fiancé, Sadie), Maddie Corbett, Hannah Corbett all of Maine and Shane Corbett of Denver, CO, one great grandchild, Marshall Lavalette and was expecting to meet her 2nd great grandchild, Matthew Lavalette, this April.
Pearl’s wishes were to be cremated and placed next to her husband at the Riverside Cemetery in Fairhaven. A private service will be held later this spring.
