William was the beloved son of the late Thomas R. Perron and Beatrice (Beatty) Casteel. He was a graduate of Holy Family, class of 1981.
William retired last September from the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office, where he served with distinction as Assistant Deputy Superintendent.
He is survived by his two sons, Alex Casteel and his wife Kathryn, and Andrew Casteel; his fiancée, Jean Arki; his sisters, Sue Casteel, Joan Casteel, and Debra Fernandes. William was a devoted grandfather to Christian Casteel and Cameron Casteel. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Perron, and sister, Jayne Lopes.
Affectionately known as Babu by his grandchildren, they were the light of his life. He enjoyed the comforts of his home, spending time by the pool with the people closest to him. He loved spending time with Jeans’ son, Steve and his family. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing golf, and took pleasure in trips to Aruba with Jean.
William’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
