Andy proudly served his country, retiring as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was active with Scott VFW Post 4183, Belleville, Illinois. He volunteered his time at the Retiree Affairs Office, at Scott Air Force Base. He was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan, making many trips to South Bend in his lifetime. He was a loving husband and father, with a sense of humor that will never be forgotten.

Surviving are his sons, Tuan Lam, of Raleigh, North Carolina and Robert (Amy) Lang, of O’Fallon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Hailey and Alyssa; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Dunlap.
