Angie Canavan

Angie graduated from SIUE in 1993 with a Masters of Business Administration. She spent her 25 long year career as a Trust Administrator for Mercantile Bank and then TIAA Cref Trust Company. Angie always worked hard so she could play even harder. After marrying the love of her life, John Canavan, in 1990, they welcomed two kids, Cristina and Connor and their fur babies Cody, Ginger, and Geddy along the way. She spent many mornings on her back patio in her Adirondack chairs with her husband, drinking “cappie” and getting ready for the day. She enjoyed sitting around the cul-de-sac with the neighbors, going boating with the family, snow skiing every January with family and friends, traveling around the world to many places, most recently Paris, Hong Kong and Ireland. She would run 5k’s and bike 150 miles for MS but it was on the water where she felt most at home. She was truly full of life and made the most of it.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 27 years, John A. Canavan; her children, Cristina and Connor; her parents, Gerold G. and Antonia (nee Gaudin) Jouett; her siblings, Victoria “Vicky” (Roger) Saunders and Gerold “Jerry” (Kit) Jouett; her nephews, Liam, Eamon, Anthony, Nicholas, and Vincent.

Angie valued her family dearly and that family grew and grew over the years as her friends became a part of it. It is that huge family that will keep her alive as the years go on.

Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held the following day at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Clair Catholic Church. 1411 Cross Street, O’Fallon, Illinois 62269. Please arrive by 9:30am
