

Mrs. Haymann led a very active life that included playing a variety of sports; she pitched a no-hitter in softball, got a hole-in-one in golf, and was an avid tennis player. She was a “Pink Lady” volunteer at Memorial Hospital many years ago and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She loved to travel and once spent an entire month in Australia. Her true passion was dancing, and she loved to dance at the Casaloma Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ara, nee Cane, Alston; two sisters, Mary Darnell and Kathryn Green; a nephew, Donald Green; and a niece, Joanna Campbell.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Don E. Haymann; a brother, George Alston, of Sparks, NV; a sister, Nina Alston of Las Vegas, NV; two nephews, Steve Darnell, of Collinsville, Ill. and Harold Green of Godfrey, Ill.; and a niece, Betty Jean Schlem of Brighton, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M., Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, August, 20, 2010, at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
