Bryan Jay Bopp

Bryan spent his early years in Belleville, Illinois before his family moved to Brookfield, Connecticut in 1981. Bryan graduated from Brookfield High School in 1989. He was a 4 year varsity letter athlete and team captain. He was a member to the Who’s Who in American High Schools and maintained a 4.0 GPA.

In 1990 Bryan attended the University of Connecticut. Bryan enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1991 as a Russian Linguist; spending time in Hawaii and California. He was honorably discharged in 1997 and returned to O’Fallon, Illinois.

While living in O’Fallon, Illinois Bryan worked as a postage meter service technician for Pitney Bowes in St. Louis, Missouri. Bryan attended accelerated evening courses while working and graduated from McKendree College in 2002 Summa Cum Laude in Business Management. He went on to work as a software support technician. He was currently employed by the Ricoh Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri as an IT Software Support Engineer.

Bryan was an active member of the Calvary Church in St. Peters, Missouri. He was involved in Bible Training, softball and basketball leagues, and Care groups.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Mildred (nee Klotz) Lumbattis and Laurence and Helen (nee Nollau)Bopp. He is survived by his parents Raymond and Jane Bopp (nee Lumbattis) of O’Fallon, Illinois. Surviving is his wife Tracy Hansen, his sons Devin and Cameron Bopp, and stepson Zion Perry. His brother Bradley Bopp (Allison), their daughters Peyton and Madison. Uncle James (Cathy) Lumbattis, their sons Ryan and Jeffrey. Aunt Joyce (Max) Edwards. Mother-in-law Cathryn (Donald) Hansen. Sister-in-law Karen (Brian) Johnson, their children Elijah, Owen and Avery. Sister-in-law Sarah (Rob) Jacobs, their children Morgan, Finn and Elliott. Sister-in-law Emily (Matt) Bundy, and their sons David and Gideon.

A celebration of Bryan’s life was held at Calvary Church, Monday, August 31st, 2015. Burial with full Military Honors held at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois on Thursday, October 1st, 2015.
