

Catherine was loved by her many relatives and friends. She enjoyed traveling and cooking, and was an avid bingo player. Catherine was a seamstress for many years at Charles Meyers Pants Factory. She was a member of the Moose in Belleville, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the International Association of Machinists. Catherine was fortunate to be able to live for 57 years in the home she grew up in.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Kovar, her parents, John W. and Nettie, nee Edwards, Schilb, Sr., a brother, John W. Schilb Jr., and four sisters, Mildred Crosby, Theresa Steinwagner, Josephine Mueller and Helen Crowl.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Kovar, and son-in-law, Daniel Kramer, of Ithaca, NY., her beloved grandchildren, Emily Kramer of Brooklyn, NY., and Matthew Kramer of Pajaro, Ca., a brother, Charles Schilb, and a sister, Elva Weilmuenster, both of Belleville, Ill., and many other relatives.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. Visitation will also be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, Ill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, Ill., with Father Myler officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
