

Mr. Moss was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WW II. Charles was a member the Polish War Vets in Caseyville, Illinois, American Legion Post 137 in O’Fallon, Illinois, VFW Post 805 in O’Fallon, Illinois, and East Lodge 504 AF&AM. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Moss was a soft spoken, generous, and giving person. He loved his family dearly and considered his children to be his greatest accomplishment.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Moss, nee Atkinson, who passed away 6 months ago, his parents, Alfred L. and Hazel A., nee Patchen, Moss Sr., a daughter, Linda Boggan, a sister, Adein McCart, and two brothers; Alfred Moss Jr. and Marshall Moss.
Surviving are his children; Cathy (Michael) Krypciak of Swansea, Illinois, Mark (June) Moss of Troy, Illinois, Sherry Hardin of Shiloh, Illinois, and Charles (Jane) Moss of Colorado Springs, Colorado, eleven grandchildren; Ben, Tess, Justin, Chelsea, Lyndsey, Shannon, Shawn, Corrie, Mark, Micah, and Stacy, four great grandchildren; Hailey, Koda, Amelia, and Meeka, a brother, Arthur L. (Mary) Moss of Marion, Illinois, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
