

Don was a graduate of Belleville West High School and retired from McDonnell Douglas as a designer engineer after many years. He was a longtime member of Belleville Assembly of God. He was a handy man who built his home and always kept an immaculate yard, free of sticks and leaves. Don had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious smile that captivated an entire room. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, dancing, and being with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Eilers was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Norvella, nee Vorsche, Eilers; one daughter, Beverly Staudt; one sister, Dorothy Eilers; one step-son, Joseph Houston; one grandson, Mark David Staudt; and one great-grandson Jaxon Miller.
Survived and missed by his wife, Alice, nee Houston, Eilers; one son, Keith (Karen) Eilers; five grandchildren, Ross (Rachel)Eilers, Neil (Lindsey) Eilers, Angie (Ryan) Foree, Nicole (Joe) Rogers, and Natalie (Chris) Miller; his grandchildren, Autumn Foree, Amber Foree, Roman Foree, Reed Eilers, Nick Rogers, Isabella Miller, and Charlotte Miller; five step-children, Sonny (Kay) Houston, Steve Houston, Stephanie (Byron) Nowak, Tony Houston, and Gloria (Earl) Ridgway; one sister, Ruth Essenfelder; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
