Donna M Reis

Born on March 16, 1935, in East St. Louis, IL, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Marvin W. and Dora M. (nee Marshall) Duff.

Donna grew up in the church, beginning her faith journey at the First Church of the Nazarene in East St. Louis before spending the last 20 years as a devoted member of Maryville Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois. Her love for the Lord was evident in her life, and she shared that joy through song as a member of the choir. In 1968, she married the love of her life, the late Ralph F. Reis, and together they blended a family of seven children, building a home filled with love and faith. They purchased 10 acres of land and built a house where countless memories were made. A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, canning foods, and sharing the fruits of her labor with her family. In their younger years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling together, but her greatest joy was always the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Her faith, devotion, and love for family will remain her lasting legacy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded by her grandson, William “Bill” Parker.

She is survived by her seven children: Gaila Trusty of Glen Carbon, IL, Linda (Richard) Reis-McGovern of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Ralph (Mary Ann) Reis of St. Louis, MO, Cathy (Dennis) Stutte of St. Louis, MO, Terry (Cherilyn) Trusty of Edwardsville, IL, Rick (Ann) Reis of Averille Park, NY, and Steve (Ann) Reis of St. Louis, MO.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm.

Burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
