Doris Jean Korte

Mrs. Korte was a past member of the Belleville Rebekah Lodge, the Senior Citizen Pinochle Club, Keyesport, Illinois, and the Woman of the Moose, Belleville Chapter 53. She loved to collect crystal bells, and had amassed quite an assortment over the years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Korte; her father, Harry Moore; her step-father and mother, Harvey and Ethel, nee Anderson, King.

Surviving are children, Larry (Rosemary) Korte, of Swansea, Illinois and Williamnette “Willie” (Lyle “Cookie”) Cook, of West Virginia; grandchildren, Angela (Jody) Smyth, Daniel (Susan) Korte, Brad Korte, Jennifer Amos, Frank Amos, Julie Hall, Jason Cook, and Rebecca (Jeff) Herring; her great grandchildren, Alex, Erica, Anthony, Anna, Danielle, Tylie, Holley, and Brooklyn.

A Memorial Mass honoring Doris’ life will be held at St Peters Catholic Cathedral, Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:30 P.M.. Inurment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
