Elizabeth Jeanette Henderson Oppermann

Elizabeth “Jeanette” Oppermann, nee Henderson, 75, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born February 23, 1937 in East St. Louis, Illinois died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Oppermann along with her Husband, Arthur, owned and operated Oppermann Distributors; prior she worked at Bauer Brothers Construction. She was a member of National Honors Society and was active with her husband with the Knights of Columbus Post 6996. Elizabeth enjoyed painting, traveling, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Arthur A. Oppermann II, her first husband, John Clark, her parents, Elvin and Elizabeth, nee Johnson, Henderson, and a sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Tom McCovey.

Surviving are her children, Beth (Paul) Anderson of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Arthur A. (Elizabeth) Oppermann III of Fairview Heights, Illinois, three grandchildren, Jason Dinkelmann, Arthur A. (Ashley) Oppermann IV, and Amanda Oppermann, two sisters, Patsy (Lynn) Carroll, and June (Larry) Maurice, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Friday, August 31, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois with Fr. Raymond Schultz officiating. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
