Elvira Rose Scott

Mrs. Scott was a member of Swansea Baptist Church. She was also a member of the General Federation Women’s Club of Greater Belleville and the Fairview Heights Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bird watching and was an avid collector of cows. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilber Scott, Jr.; a grandson, Anthony Schaefer; a granddaughter, Roxanne Scott; her parents, Barthy and Freda, nee Kraft, Greenfield, Sr.; and a brother Barthy Greenfield, Jr.

Surviving are her children, Alan (Di) Scott, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Dale (Barbara) Scott, of Mascoutah, Illinois, James (Lisa) Scott, of Collinsville, Illinois, Karen (Paul) Schaefer, of O’Fallon, Illinois, and Nancy (Jeffrey) Wright, of Murphysboro, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Wilson Wickiser officiating. Interment will follow in O’Fallon City Cemetery, O’Fallon, Illinois.
