Ethel Bernice York

Mrs. York was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Ethel enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and enjoyed dancing, country music, and working beside her husband on home projects.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles York, married 56 years; her parents, Roy Qualls and Iva Mae Lance; her siblings, Hazel Cummins, Helen Burkett, Barbara Snow, Johnny Qualls, David Qualls, Carvel Qualls, and Terry Qualls; and her granddaughter, Ashley Martin.

She is survived by her children, Allan (Julie) York of Smithton, Illinois, Rhonda (Bill) Urban of Belleville, Illinois, Duane (Nicki) York of St. Jacob, Illinois and Ryan (Shannon) York of O’Fallon, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Justin York, Jordan York (fiancée’ Danielle Aquila), Casey Baugh and Sadie Urban, Dominica (Justin) Ambry, Duane Jr. (Meghan) York, and Trenton York; and eight great grandchildren, Brinley and Mavery York, Conner and Tucker Baugh, Dominic and Carmella Ambry Kaine and Kaylie Rice. Brother Doug (Colette) Qualls, Caseyville, Illinois, and niece Brandy (Dustin) Belcher, David (Rachel) Qualls, Doug Qualls, and many other relatives and friends.

Services: Beginning immediately after visitation at Lakeview Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
