Florine Margaret Schmidt, 91, of Belleville, IL, born February 12, 1927 in Millstadt, IL to the late Roland and Wilhelmina (nee Schultz) Muskopf, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Belleville, IL.
Florine was of the Christian faith and attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. She enjoyed painting and every aspect of home decorating. She was known to be very meticulous and she despised clutter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest “Dutch” Nelson Schmidt; grandson, Joel Lee Terry; brother, Roland “Rollie” Muskopf; nephew Steve Muskopf; and cousin, Jeanette Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Bill Schmidt; daughter, Jill (Thomas Kiefer) Schmidt; grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Terry; Cindy Nobe; Samantha Kiefer; great-grandchildren, Jolie Terry; Brice Jenkins; Wyatt; Wes; and Ruby Nobe; brother, Wayne (Denise) Muskopf; sister-in-law, Mary Muskopf; brother-in-law, Donald Schmidt; nieces and nephews, Mike; Terry; Tim; Mark; Wendy; Milton; and Kristy, as well as many other distant relatives.
