Gaylynn Minnigerode

Gaylynn spent most of her working career working in insurance and banking. She was the first female insurance agent in St. Clair County, owning and operating Minnigerode Insurance Agency in Swansea for over 25 years. Outside of work, she was dedicated to her community and loved helping others. Her greatest joy was her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Gaylynn was preceded in death by her parents, her loving spouse, Kenneth Minnigerode, siblings, Gary Kuhn, Dennis Kuhn, Ricky Kuhn, Randy Kuhn; and grandson, Joshua Bush.

Surviving are her sisters, Carol Storm of Collinsville, Debra (Steve) Huddleston of Columbia; children, Shannon (Brian) Bosworth of Belleville, Ginny (Cody) Peter of Waterloo, Kristine (Matthew) Lamons of Millstadt, Valerie (Scott) Brinkman of Clayton, Bryan (Ophelie) Minnigerode of Seattle and Rick (Becca) Hansen of Waterloo; grandchildren, Margarete (Derek) Crawford, Ethan Lamons, Campbell Brinkman, Jenna Bush, Dempsey Brinkman, Jacob Bush, Emily Shank, Austin Minnigerode, Lilyana Minnigerode, Candice Minnigerode, Cole Peter, Drew Peter, Brynn Peter, and baby Hansen.

A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 7:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL. A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
