Jeanette Hoffman

Jeanette Hoffman, 90, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at Four Fountains Nursing Care Facility, where she resided for the previous 6 months. She was born on March 22nd, 1931 in Belleville, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Halvey and Lillian (Hesse) Hoffmann. She is survived by a second cousin, Sandra Krug of Belleville, Illinois.

Jeanette graduated from Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, and received her BSN from College of St. Francis. Jeanette worked in nursing supervision in several hospitals including Christian Welfare, Memorial Hospital, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Jeanette was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Belleville, Illinois.

Enjoying traveling extensively, Jeanette had the opportunity to visit many countries throughout the world. Her favorite destination, however, was the Rocky Mountain region, where she developed an interest in Native American culture and art.

She was accomplished in needlework, and enjoyed creating miniature dioramas.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 23rd 2021, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 23rd 2021, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois., with Pastor Timothy Reed officiating.

Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
