Jessie M. Goldsmith

Jessie was a member of Anchor of Life Assembly of God Church, Belleville, Illinois. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ross A. Goldsmith, in 1952; her parents, Charles and Sadie, nee McClure, Capps, Sr.; a sister, Margie Buescher; and three brothers, Charles Capps, Jr., Wayne Capps, and Paul Capps.

Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Billy B. Goldsmith, of Belleville, Illinois; her daughter, Jessie Lee “Skipper” Moellman, of Washington, D.C.; a grandson, Jeffrey Ross Moellman; her former son-in-law, Dennis Moellman; a sister, Elizabeth Chambers, of Greenville, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Wes Hart officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
