Joe C. Stites

Mr. Stites was retired from Ford Motor Company, Hazelwood, Missouri, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 325. He was also a member of the Elks Club 664 and the Moose Lodge #4. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara R. Stites, nee Blaylock; his parents, Elga and Oleta, nee Oday, Stites; his three brothers, Richard, Marion, and David Stites; and a sister, Doris LaRue.

Surviving are his three daughters, Diane (Bill) Horstman, of Mascoutah, Illinois, Donna (Mac) McIntyre, of Irving, Illinois, and Mary (Greg) Ball, of Memphis, Tennessee; his six grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda) Sears, Michael (Jessica Perry) Henry, Paige Ball, Neil (Jamie) Cawvey, Nick (Jessica) Cawvey, Katie (Aaron) Garcia, and Jennifer (Dave) Meyer; his 11 great grandchildren, Shae, Sloan, Emilee, Grace, Lilly, Khloe, Camden, Riley, Landon, Romin, and Liv; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev Wilson Wickiser officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
