
John was a member of Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Marie Borsis, nee Kaminski who died on April 1, 2010; his parents, George & Jenny, nee Ladas, Borsis ; a brother, James Borsis and a sister, Sandy Vlahek
Surviving are his four daughters, Pamela (Terry) Kaemmerer of St. Louis, Mo., Tina Borsis of Creve Coeur, Mo., Jenny Borsis of North Beach, MD., and Stephanie Borsis of Troy, Ill., and a step-son Michael (Holly) Kaminski of Lafayette, Indiana. Four Grandchildren, Shaun (Alina) Bramble, Shannon (Charles) Woodcock, Jonathan Borsis, Samuel Schwarztrauber; one great-grandchild, Lachlan Woodcock; five step-grandchildren Kristy (Curt) Schaaf and Kimberly Kaemmerer, Justin, Jacob and Joshua Kaminski; two sisters, Elaine (Nick) Gojmeric of Smithton, Ill., and Patricia (Nick) Markuly of Belleville, Ill., a brother-in-law, Anthony Vlahek of O’Fallon, Ill., and a two sister-in-laws, Shirley Borsis of East St. Louis, Ill., and Nancy McCoid of Mascoutah, Ill., and his little Yorkie Sophie.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. A Trisaigon Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on July 20, 2011 at Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 405 Huntwood Road, Swansea, Ill., with Father Michael Arbanas officiating. Interment will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
