

Larry Filmore King of Caseyville, IL passed away at Belleville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Larry was born on October 11, 1942 in East St. Louis, Illinois and is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Nee) Lewis, a son, Gary Joseph King, his parents, Luther King & Lucille (Nee) Clark of Caseyville, IL, and a sister, Barb Dodson.
Larry is survived by his son, Larry (Madonna) King of Springfield, IL, and his daughter, Julie Walker of Caseyville, IL. Five grandchildren; Madeline Walker, Ronald Walker Jr. Natalie Walker, Troy King, & Jamie King. Brother, Danny (Cathy) King, Sisters Karen Seib and Linda Zoll and several nieces/nephews.
As a young man, Larry served his country in the Army Reserves, and then later would marry the love of his life, Rosemary, on December 2, 1967. He was a successful business owner of Creative Landscaping and Lawncare for 20 + years. In his free time, Larry enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride & joy. Larry's larger than life personality with his quick wit and sense of humor made him a friend to many and loved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family & friends.
In honor of his late wife, Rosemary King, donations can be made to The ALS Foundation - St. Louis Regional Chapter.
Visitation: Friends and family may call from 4 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral Services: Services will be held the following day, Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00am at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
