

Born on August 16, 1943, in Cleveland, OH, Lucy was the beloved daughter of the late Wyatt and Lucy (nee Jones) Trembley.
Lucy was a woman of unwavering Catholic faith and a devoted longtime member of Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Illinois. She enjoyed many creative pastimes, especially crafting with beads and latch hooking, and had a special love for swans and peacocks, which brought her joy throughout her life. Lucy was also active in Cub Scouts, where she gave her time and encouragement to young people. She loved flowers and the simple beauty they brought, but above all, her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished deeply. Her faith, creativity, and gentle spirit will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by a daughter, Linda Mixen; and son, Louis Mixen.
She is survived by four children: Lloyd “Rusty” (Cherly) Mixen, Lawrence “Larry” Mixen, Loretta “Lori” Mixen, and Leonard “Lonnie” (Tammi) Mixen; six grandchildren: Heather (Allen) Brannam, Joseph (Amy Simmons) Mixen, Jeremy (Rachel Hodge) Mixen, Kristen Malear, Carrie (Stuart Ward) Malear, and Dustin (Meghan) Mixen; eight great-grandchildren: Kayla (Tanner), Lauren, Ally (Andrew Annand), Jack, Kennedy, Luke, Gideon, and Osiris; one great-great-grandchild, Eleanor.
A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in O’Fallon, IL.
